Welcome to ArtShow!
ArtShow is a highly configurable image gallery, which can be used offline
or online. ArtShow runs under a webserver as a CGI script and requires only
Perl. If you use the gen_images script to create the different
images for ArtShow, you will also need ImageMagick. But this is optional.
ArtShow runs as an CGI script and presents the user with an image gallery. The look and layout of the gallery are highly configurable by the viewer and by the presenter.
It can also run locally on your PC (I use it under Apache) and with the local version you cannot only view and search and sort the images, but also edit their metadata. When you change some of the parameters of the image (like sharpness, gamma etc) the re-creation of the different sized images is even triggered automatically!
For a live demo, see my own gallery. Enjoy!
See here for the latest developer version.
Here is a screenshot of the Edit form from ArtShow. This form is only available locally, e.g. people visiting the online gallery will not get it and thus cannot change the database.
